Halmstads striker Valmir Berisha has received interest from Liverpool, amongst other clubs, according to the player himself.
The 17-year old is much hyped in Sweden, having impressed for his country at this year’s Under-17 World Cup.
Berisha finished top scorer of the tournament with seven goals in seven games.
The Daily Express, who claim he has been dubbed the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic, quotes Berisha talking to Aftonbladet in his homeland.
He said, “I have got offers from everywhere, from England, Italy, Spain, Germany, Holland and Russia. There are some options.
“The clubs who have shown the biggest interest are Ajax, Milan, Liverpool, Sunderland, Tottenham and Celtic.
“They have all offered me contracts. But it is a matter of choosing the right one, that is the most important.”
Berisha also added that he would like to move to a club who can guarantee him playing time, so that he continues to develop his game.
Meanwhile back on Merseyside, Uruguayan defender Sebasian Coates has given an update on his long-term knee injury.
The 23-year-old was expected to leave the club in the summer, before injury forced him onto the sidelines.
He told the club’s official website, “I’m making progress slowly but surely. It’s an injury that takes a long time this one, and you have to work hard on a day-to-day basis to recover, but fortunately that’s what I’m doing and so I hope to come back fit and well just as soon as I can.
“It’s been going very well. As I said, it’s a long recovery process for this injury and I think it’s more about how you are psychologically in your head and trying to keep positive in order to be able to get back to full fitness as quickly as possible.
“You always think positively, I think that’s the most important thing. In my case, I keep myself going by focusing on getting back as quickly as I can, and with the national team, the World Cup is another goal to help me with my recovery.”
