Jordan Henderson and Steven Gerrard are the only two outfield players to have started every Liverpool match this season – but both could be missing for the trip to Tottenham on Sunday.

Gerrard is definitely out, with his hamstring injury now confirmed – ruled out for up to six weeks, missing a potential eight games in the process.

Henderson meanwhile is a doubt ahead of the Spurs match, with The Liverpool Echo reporting that “Liverpool believe Henderson has only suffered bruising to his ankle and are hopeful he will recover in time to feature at White Hart Lane”.

The 23 year old midfielder has been wearing a protective boot following Kevin Nolan’s reckless challenge in the West Ham match on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers will be hoping Henderson is available, having worked his way into the side and becoming a vital part this season – starting all 17 League and Cup games so far.
