Glen Johnson could miss today’s match against Aston Villa after he appeared in court in Wales on Friday, where he was attempting to appeal a driving ban.
As reported by Wales Online, Johnson failed to fight the driving ban after being unable to say who was behind the wheel of his Audi Q7 when it was caught speeding in North Wales last year.
The England defender is now banned from driving for six months as he already had six penalty points in his licence, and fined £1,500. He also had to pay the costs of the appeal.
Johnson missed Liverpool’s match preparation training at Melwood on Friday in order to attend the hearing, making him a doubt for this evening’s match against Aston Villa.
Therefore, Martin Kelly could get his first Premier League start since September 2012.
