Mohamed Salah’s proposed January transfer to Liverpool is still on hold, with rivals clubs now coming into the picture.
The Reds have been favourites for some time to sign the Basel winger, but have reached a stumbling block over their valuation of the Egyptian international, compared to the Swiss club’s.
talKSPORT suggest that Russian Premier League club Zenit St Petersburg are now in for Salah.

It has been suggested that manager Luciano Spalletti could be ready to spend around £12m to land the forward before the window shuts with Basel seemingly ready to cash in.
Former Egypt national coach Bob Bradley last week suggested Salah was on the verge of a move to Anfield, despite speculation suggesting the deal was under pressure.
“I was saying yesterday that in Egypt, a great success story in the last two years is a young player called Mohamed Salah,” Bradley told Egyptian television, with quotes picked up by KingFut .
“He left and we helped him to leave Egypt first to FC Basel, and from what I read and hear, in the coming days you will see his name again because I think it will be a big transfer to a Premiership team.”
Salah has previously been described as the “Egyptian Messi” for his tricky skills and pace. He would bring fresh dynamic options to the Liverpool’s attack.
