With nine games of the season to go, every game is crucial to Liverpool’s hopes of winning the Premier League title, starting with the trip second-bottom of the table Cardiff on Saturday.
Liverpool will be looking for their second victory of the season over the South Wales side, having beaten them 3-1 at Anfield back in December.

The opposition
Cardiff have had a torrid time this season with deficiencies both on the pitch and off, leaving them 19th in the Premier League going into this game.
The sacking of Malky Mackay shortly after their defeat to Liverpool earlier in the season was another blow in some turbulent times for the club.
Now under Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s guidance, Cardiff go into this game off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Everton last weekend, coming after a much-needed win over fellow relegation fighters Fulham.
Prior to that they lost back-to-back league games against Tottenham and Hull, as well as their FA Cup fifth round exit at the hands of Wigan Athletic.
Team news
Liverpool can close the gap on league leaders Chelsea with three points at Cardiff, and Brendan Rodgers has an almost fully fit squad to choose from.
Jose Enrique’s long-term knee problems are Liverpool’s only concerns, and defender Mamadou Sakho could get a recall to the starting line-up after recovering from a hamstring problem.
Eyes will be on what Rodgers does in terms of the selection of Raheem Sterling or Philippe Coutinho, who have rotated in recent games.
