Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge admits he is “fuming” at having picked up an injury at such a crucial time of the season.
The 24-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in the win over Manchester City on Sunday but the injury isn’t as bad as first feared.
Earlier on Thursday, manager Brendan Rodgers explained that the injury is “certainly not as serious as sometimes a hamstring injury can be.”
“He may struggle for the weekend, it’s not too serious though,” said the boss. “We’ll assess over next couple days.”
Rodgers cited Sturridge’s impressive recovery from injuries, such as at the start of the season.
Sturridge himself wrote on twitter he is pushing to get back ASAP and that “everything happens for a reason:
Rodgers is likely to go with a front three of Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling if Sturridge isn’t fit for the Norwich match.
