The 2013/14 season was undoubtedly one of the most entertaining Liverpool campaigns in recent years, with Brendan Rodgers‘ side eventually finishing in an impressive and unexpected second place.
For the first time in Premier League history, Liverpool entered the final day with a chance of winning the title.
Alas, it was not to be, but there were still plenty of memorable moments and highlights from individual players, team performances, goals galore and incredible victories.
Poetry In Motion was sung from the stands and that’s the title for our Season Review book which provides the complete story of the 2013/14 campaign – a perfect souvenir of the season.
Editor Karl Matchett recounts the games and goals, while providing an expert analysis of the tactics used by manager Brendan Rodgers.
There’s also a complete run down on the LFC squad, rating each player’s campaign and there expected squad status next season.
Neil Poole recalls the opening day drama of the win over Stoke City, while Andrew Lawrence provides first hand account of the magic moment in Melbourne’s MCG during pre-season.
There’s a review of the players out on loan, the academy and under 21s, plus the usual end of season best and worst awards.
“Poetry in Motion” captures the excitement and feeling of reawakening experienced by supporters over the course of the campaign.
