Liverpool have finally agreed a fee with Sevilla for Spanish left-back Alberto Moreno, according to respected Merseyside journalist Tony Barrett of The Times.
The 22-year-old has become the transfer saga of the summer at Anfield, with talks having taken place between the two clubs since before the World Cup.
The player has not been included in Sevilla’s team to face Real Madrid in the European Super Cup in Cardiff on Tuesday evening.
Now it finally appears that a fee has been agreed and thus the player will move to Merseyside. Barrett tweeted on Tuesday evening:

British reports, including BBC Sport claim the fee is around £12 million – far lower than what Sevilla were demanding earlier this summer.
Spanish paper Marca claim the fee is €18 million (£14.3m) which could rise to €20 million.
Reports earlier this week had suggested Moreno would appear in the Super Cup one final time for Sevilla, before moving to Liverpool after.
Moreno will become The Reds’ eighth summer signing and hopefully provide a long-term solution to the perennial problem position at the club.
The only remaining priority now is to sign a quality forward to add depth to Brendan Rodgers’ attacking options, plus a back-up goalkeeper if possible.
