Cesc Fabregas of Chelsea

Cesc Fabregas was the star for Chelsea as they provided two players, along with Arsenal and Sunderland, in our Premier League Team of the Week.

Check out TEAMtalk's Team of the Week and then let us know your top XI using the story comment facility at the bottom of the article.

TEAMtalk's Top Men (4-3-3): McGregor; Ivanovic, Chambers, Vlaar, Aanholt; Fabregas, Ramsey, Larsson; Berahino, Rooney, Sterling.

Alan McGregor - Hull City Carried on where he left off last season with a terrific clean sheet against QPR at Loftus Road. The Scottish ace was instrumental in earning his men all three points with a low stop from Charlie Austin's penalty and a late save from Loic Remy.

Branislav Ivanovic - Chelsea

Looked his imposing best against Burnley at Turf Moor and capped a dominant display with a goal from a corner.

Calum Chambers - Arsenal

Thrown in at centre-back for his Gunners debut and didn't disappoint with calm and cultured display. The classy youngster looked at home as he broke up Crystal Palace attacks and his quick feet and fine passing suggests he'll be a terrific signing for Arsene Wenger.

Ron Vlaar - Aston Villa Helped Villa to an impressive clean sheet in their 1-0 win at Stoke and looked a tower of strength alongside new boy Philippe Senderos. If Villa's centre-back pairing can continue their impressive start Paul Lambert's men might well shut out better teams than Stoke.

Patrick van Aanholt - Sunderland Another man making his top-flight debut and he didn't disappoint the travelling faithful at the Hawthorns with a solid display. He made eight interceptions against West Brom - more than anyone in the league and popped up with a crucial late assist.

Cesc Fabregas - Chelsea

Looked like he had been running the Chelsea midfield for years on his Premier League debut at Turf Moor. Burnley's midfield could not live with the former Barcelona man as he played arguably the pass of the season to play in Andre Schurrle. With three chances created, two assists and a passing accuracy of 86 per cent, only a goal was missing for his efforts.

Aaron Ramsey - Arsenal

Ramsey was immense for the Gunners in the narrow win over Crystal Palace and he looked the same player he did at the start of last season. He put in the complete midfield performance, with 91 successful passes - only bettered over the weekend by team-mate Mikel Arteta. But Ramsey has got more to his game than just passing and he proved that by popping up with the winner late on.

Seb Larsson - Sunderland

Grabbed the crucial equaliser for the Black Cats at West Brom with a perfectly-timed charge into the Baggies box before calmly converting. Worked tirelessly in the heart of the Sunderland midfield.

Raheem Sterling - Liverpool

Tipped by many pundits to push on this season and help fill the void left by Luis Suarez, the England forward opened his account with a cool one-on-one finish. The youngster was Liverpool's main threat in attack and his four shots on goal, one assist and two chances created easily earned him Sunday's man-of-the-match award.

Wayne Rooney - Manchester United

It might well have been a debut to forget as club captain, but from a personal perspective the England man's contribution against Swansea was impressive. His smartly taken overhead kick was an indication of match sharpness and he was far and away United's best player as Swansea rolled into Old Trafford and away with all three points. But for the crossbar, Rooney would have doubled his tally in a powerful performance.

Saido Berahino - West Brom Started the season with a real bang with a two-goal haul and much will be expected of the England youngster, who faded last season. His confident penalty got Albion back on level terms with West Brom and he was in the right place to convert a low cross to put the hosts back into the lead before they were pegged back late on.
