Chris Kamara has questioned the signing of controversial striker Mario Balotelli and says he "doesn't look like a Liverpool player".
Balotelli has scored just once - against Bulgarian minnows Ludogorets - since his arrival at the end of August and his performances have come under scrutiny.
The £16million arrival from AC Milan has struggled to make an immediate impact in the Premier League and Kamara has criticised the forward's lack of movement and is unconvinced the former Manchester City man has the credentials to play for the Anfield club.
"One other topic of conversation that has come up frequently is Liverpool’s purchase of Mario Balotelli and how effective he can be for the team.
"On the face of it Balotelli doesn’t look like a Liverpool player. The one thing Rodgers demanded from (Luis) Suarez and Daniel Sturridge was absolute movement. Balotelli stands still more than he moves around so Liverpool are having to get used to him, he’s not having to get used to them.
"That’s a problem in itself. Whether Brendan is happy to accept that, I don’t know, I’m not in the dressing room. At the moment he’s still a class player but the system that Liverpool have got suffers when he’s in the team, " Kamara told his Ladbrokes blog.
