Wayne Rooney: Will hope to continue his great record against Villa

We have stats ahead of all Premier League games, such as Aston Villa's woeful record vs Man United and Arsenal and Liverpool's goal-laden past.

Chelsea and Manchester City will hope to keep up the title chase when they face Stoke and Crystal Palace respectively, while Manchester United will look for a seventh-straight Premier League win at Aston Villa.

The Tyne-Wear derby provides both Newcastle and Sunderland with the perfect opportunity to get their seasons back on track, while Liverpool and Arsenal will face off at Anfield

We take a look at the key Opta statistics ahead of the 16th round of games.

Manchester City v Crystal Palace (Saturday, 12.45pm)

Manchester City v Crystal Palace

Edin Dzeko has scored in both of his Barclays Premier League appearances against Crystal Palace.

Fraizer Campbell scored three goals in his two Premier League appearances for Cardiff City against Man City last season.

Manchester City have won the last six games in all competitions against Crystal Palace.

Man City have won their last five Premier League games, this after winning just four of their previous nine (W4 D3 L2).

The Citizens have scored in 13 successive Premier League matches; the longest such run in the competition this season.

Yaya Touré has completed a league-high 1178 passes in the Premier League in 2014-15.

Mile Jedinak has made more interceptions (60) than any other PL player this season, while only Nathaniel Clyne (70) has made more tackles than the Australian (60).

Manchester City's substitutes have had a hand in 11 goals this season in the Premier League (five goals, six assists) - more than any other club.

Palace have won just one of their last nine Premier League away games (W1 D5 L3).

Man City have conceded just 18 goals in 26 Premier League home games under Manuel Pellegrini (0.69 per game).

Aston Villa v Manchester United

Wayne Rooney has scored more Barclays Premier League goals against Aston Villa than he has versus any other opponent (12).

Aston Villa have won just one of the last 37 Premier League games against Man Utd (W1 D9 L27), including losing the last seven in a row.

The last time Aston Villa beat Manchester United at Villa Park in the Premier League (August 19th 1995), midfielder Jack Grealish wasn't even born.

Robin van Persie has scored five goals in his last five Premier League games against Villa.

Marouane Fellaini has scored more goals against Aston Villa (4) than versus any other opponent in the Premier League.

The Villans have not won any of the last 18 Premier League home games against the Red Devils (D6 L12). Only Sunderland at home to Liverpool (20 games between 1959 and 2002) have recorded a longer run without a home win against a specific opponent in English league history.

Manchester United have scored at least three goals in each of their last five Premier League games against Villa.

The Red Devils have won more points from their last six Premier League games than any other side (18).

Aston Villa have lost a league-high eight points from goals scored in the final 15 minutes of Premier League matches this season.

Manchester United have won 103 Premier League points against Aston Villa - more than any other side have managed against the Villans.

Hull City v Swansea City

Hull City are unbeaten in their last six league games against Swansea (W4 D2 L0).

Swansea have failed to score in their last three games at the KC Stadium.

The Tigers have won a league-low six points in Premier League home matches this season.

Swansea City have lost a league-high 16 points from leading positions this season - losing four and drawing two of the 12 PL games that they have held a lead in.

Wilfried Bony has scored eight goals in his last 10 Premier League appearances.

Ivorian striker Bony has netted more goals in 2014 than any other player (20) and only 11 fewer than Hull City have overall in this period (31).

Of the 17 ever-present Premier League sides in 2014, Hull City have won the fewest points (27, 10 fewer than any other ever-present side).

The Tigers have won just one of their last 15 Premier League games (W1 D7 L7).

Swansea City have picked up just two points in their last six Premier League away games (D2 L4).

Swansea City have lost back to back Premier League games - they've yet to lose three PL games in a row under Garry Monk since he took charge in February.

Queens Park Rangers v West Brom

QPR have won just one of their last six home games against the Baggies in all competitions (W1 D2 L3).

West Brom have won the last three Barclays Premier League encounters with QPR.

Rangers won the last meeting between the two sides in the FA Cup 3rd Round replay in January 2013 (1-0).

All 14 of Queens Park Rangers' points in the Premier League this season have come at Loftus Road.

West Brom have won eight points from seven games away from home in the Premier League this season, despite only scoring three goals in these games.

Charlie Austin has had a hand in eight goals in his last eight Premier League appearances (six goals, two assists).

Austin has been involved in 59% of QPR's league goals this season - the only player to have had a hand in a larger proportion for his side in the top four tiers is Chesterfield's Eoin Doyle (62%).

After scoring seven goals in his first nine Premier League appearances of the season, Saido Berahino has failed to score in his last seven PL apps in a row.

QPR have been relegated on both previous occasions in which they had won 14 points or fewer from their first 16 games of a Premier League season.

WBA have won just five of their 47 Premier League games away in London (D13 L29)

Southampton v Everton

Southampton won this Barclays Premier League fixture 2-0 last season courtesy of two own goals (Alcaraz & Coleman).

That defeat ended a run of eight games unbeaten for Everton against Southampton in the Premier League (W4 D4).

Southampton have won two and lost none of the last five Premier League games against Everton at St Mary's.

If games ended at half-time this season, Everton would be third in the Premier League table with 28 points.

However, if only the second-half of matches counted, Everton would be 14th with 17 points.

Dusan Tadic has not scored or assisted a single goal in his last eight PL appearances; this after having a hand in seven goals in his first eight PL apps (six assists, one goal).

Nevertheless, Tadic has created the most goalscoring opportunities from open play than any other player in the Premier League this season (42).

Steven Naismith has scored four goals from just eight shots on target in the Premier League this season.

Ronald Koeman has made just 38 of the 48 substitutions available to him in the Premier League this season; no club has used as few.

Southampton have seen six players start every single Premier League game this season; more than any other side.

Tottenham v Burnley

There have been 21 goals scored in the last four meetings in all competitions between Spurs and Burnley, with at least five in each game.

Those last four meetings between Spurs and Burnley have all been home wins.

There have been 55 goals in the last 12 meetings between Spurs and Burnley at White Hart Lane; an average of 4.6 per game.

Tottenham have won three Premier League games that they have been behind in this season - only Chelsea have won as many.

Spurs have won a league-high eight points from goals scored in the 85th minute or later in the Premier League this season.

Burnley have played the highest proportion of passes long this season in the PL (20.4%).

The Clarets have also made 30 more long throws than any other team in the PL this season (164, Tottenham are joint second on 134).

This is only the eighth time that Spurs will play a Premier League game on a Saturday at 3pm since the start of last season (it'll be their 55th PL game since Aug 2013 overall).

Burnley have won just one point in their eight previous Premier League trips to London (D1 L7).

The Clarets have failed to score in six of these previous eight Premier League away games in the capital.

West Ham v Leicester

Kevin Nolan has scored three goals in four Premier League appearances against Leicester.

Leicester City are without a win in six league meetings with West Ham United (D3 L3).

There have been five red cards in the last eight league meetings between West Ham and Leicester.

Leicester City are winless in their last 11 Premier League fixtures (L9 D2) - the longest such run seen in the competition so far in 2014-15.

No player has created more goalscoring opportunities than Stewart Downing (50) in the Premier League so far this season.

No side have had a larger spread of goalscorers than West Ham United (12) this season in the Premier League (Chelsea also have 12).

The Foxes have not won any of their last 17 Premier League away trips to London (D3 L14) & have conceded at least two goals in each of their last eight PL away trips in the capital.

Anything less than a win in this game will ensure Leicester are bottom at Christmas. Only two teams (WBA in 2004 and Sunderland in 2013) have been bottom of the PL at Xmas and avoided relegation.

West Ham have never before been in the top four of the Premier League at Christmas.

The last time that the Hammers were in the top four positions of the top-flight on Christmas Day was back in 1985. They finished that season in third.

Newcastle United v Sunderland (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Newcastle are without a win in three games against Sunderland at St James Park, losing the last two 3-0.

Sunderland are unbeaten in their last five Barclays Premier League games against Newcastle United (W3 D2), winning the last three in a row.

The Black Cats have never won four successive league derbies against Newcastle United.

There have been five red cards in the last eight Premier League meetings between these two sides, though none in the last three.

No side has picked up more yellow cards than Sunderland (37) this season, while only Swansea (4) have more red cards than Newcastle (3).

If matches ended a half-time this season, Newcastle United would be bottom of the table with 12 points.

The Magpies have been leading at half-time in just one of their 16 Premier League games this season.

Sunderland have scored three goals in the opening five minutes of PL games this season; more than any other side.

Sunderland have drawn 10 matches this season, the joint-most by a team in the first 16 games of a Premier League season (along with Ipswich Town in 1992/93).

Papiss Cisse has scored five goals in his last seven Premier League appearances as a substitute, but has netted just four goals in his last 26 PL starts.

Liverpool v Arsenal (Sun, 4pm)

Liverpool have won just two of the last 14 Premier League meetings with Arsenal (W2 D7 L5).

There have been four 90th minute or later goals in the last six Premier League meetings between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield.

Liverpool v Arsenal has seen more hat-tricks than any other fixture in Barclays Premier League history (5).

Last season's 5-1 annihilation of the Gunners at Anfield ended a run of six home games without a win over the Gunners for the Reds (D3 L3).

Arsenal have trailed in six of the last seven Premier League games against Liverpool at Anfield and come back to win two and draw three of those six where they fell behind.

Mario Balotelli has had more shots (42 - inc. blocked) than any other player yet to score in the Premier League this season.

Only Sergio Aguero (17) has had an involvement (goals or assists) in more Premier League goals than Alexis Sanchez (14) this season.

Alexis Sanchez has scored (7) or assisted (4) 11 of Arsenal's last 17 Premier League goals (65%).

After failing to score with his previous 38 shots this season in the Premier League (inc. blocked), Santi Cazorla has scored with three of his last seven in the competition.

Liverpool had more points from their first 16 games of 2010-11 under Roy Hodgson (22) than they do currently in 2014-15 (21). Based on three points for a win, this is Liverpool's worst record after 16 games since 1964-65.

Stoke City v Chelsea (Monday, 8pm)

The Potters have failed to score in five of the last six Premier League games against Chelsea.

Chelsea have won nine and lost just one of the 12 Barclays Premier League meetings with Stoke City, but the defeat came last season in this fixture at the Britannia Stadium.

Former Chelsea player Mark Hughes has won two and lost none of his last four matches as a manager in home games against the Blues.

Stoke City have conceded a goal in each of their last 10 Premier League games; the longest run without a clean sheet in the competition this season.

Jose Mourinho surpassed the 400-point mark as a Premier League manager last weekend and in doing so became the quickest to reach this tally (174 games - 17 quicker than Sir Alex Ferguson).

38.5% of Chelsea's throw-ins this season have been long - a higher proportion than any other PL side (Stoke are fifth on 32.8%).

Chelsea have lost only one of their last 19 Premier League games played on a Monday (W11 D7 L1).

Stoke City are unbeaten in their last six Premier League games played on a Monday (W2 D4), including a 1-0 win over Newcastle at home earlier this season.

Eden Hazard has made more successful passes in the attacking third than any other Premier League player this season (450).

Hazard has not scored a PL goal away from home since Jan 11th 2014, with his last 11 goals in the competition all coming at Stamford Bridge.
