Liverpool look set to allow some of their Academy stars to leave the club on loan before the end of the month.

After a fantastic 2-1 victory over their Everton counterparts this week Liverpool U21s could lose some of their key figures, with the club set to sanction a handful of loan deals in the near future.

Despite the youth sides’ dominance in the U21s Premier League, Liverpool are primarily focussed on individual development.

Discussions have been held between first-team manager Brendan Rodgers and Academy director Alex Inglethorpe, according to U21s head coach Michael Beale:

“The [loan] window ends in the next 14 days and we’ve got a number of things, there’s a nice little break now where we can sit down and talk about them. I’m sure Alex will sit down with Brendan and make the correct decisions for the boys.”

One player who could leave is attacking midfielder Jack Dunn, says Beale.

“Jack’s been excellent, he’s gone away in Cheltenham and was absolutely flying when he unfortunately got an injury there, and he’s worked his way back, and the next step for Jack is to go and play League football.

“[He’s] got a hell of a lot of options.”

Dunn spent six weeks on loan with Cheltenham Town earlier this season, scoring three goals in five league games for the League 2 club.

Another player looking set for a loan is highly rated striker Jerome Sinclair, with Beale suggesting: “There will be news in the next few days because there’s certainly a lot of interest.”

The 18-year-old has recovered well from injury, and looks primed for a role in Rodgers’ high-intensity attacking system in the future.

Sinclair has scored 22 goals this season for Liverpool, across various age groups.

After scoring an exceptional last-gasp goal in the win over Everton U21s, 17-year-old midfielder Harry Wilson could follow the likes of Sheyi Ojo and Jordon Ibe in leaving the club for a developmental spell this season.

Wilson’s long-range strike was a near-replica of a goal he scored against Real Madrid in a 3-2 UEFA Youth League win back in October.

Developing a knack for the spectacular, Wilson could also benefit from a loan move.

Beale continued to outline the demand for these Academy stars in the loan market: “I looked at the list of clubs who were coming to scout it, and there was a lot of people.”

Dunn, Sinclair, Wilson and Co. won’t be short of options if they leave Liverpool on loan this month.
