Wigan have bolstered their attacking options with the acquisition of Liverpool's Jerome Sinclair on loan until the end of the season.
The teenage forward, who holds his parent club's record for the youngest player to make a first-team appearance, joins his Reds team-mate Sheyi Ojo at the DW Stadium ahead of Tuesday night's home clash with Malky Mackay's old club Watford.
Goals from attackers have been a serious problem for Wigan all year and with top scorer James McClean suspended for the next two games, Mackay will be hoping Sinclair can pick up the slack.
"We had a long chat about Jerome and we both feel that this is a positive step for him to make in his career, which will hopefully benefit both clubs," Mackay said on Wigan's official website.
"We have to thank Liverpool for allowing him to come to Wigan, but they have seen how well Sheyi is progressing and that we are a club who will nurture a young player with potential. We are all hopeful he can make a good contribution during his time here."
