Aymen Abdennour's agent says the Monaco defender wants to play in the Premier League, but has ruled West Ham out of the race to sign him.
The 26-year-old is eager to leave the principality this summer and has been linked with moves to the Hammers, as well as Liverpool, Tottenham and AC Milan.
The powerful Tunisian centre-back, 26, caught the eye with his performances in last season’s Champions League and his club are reported to have already rejected a bid from Spurs.
His agent claims that a move to England or Spain will be his next move, but he poured cold water on talk of a possible transfer to West Ham.
Abdelkader Jilani told Calcio Mercato: "Abdennour want to play in the Premier League or La Liga, not in Italy. The track leading to West Ham is closed."
Pressed on whether his client would consider a switch to AC Milan if the opportunity arose, he added: "No, because it does not want to be in Italy. I repeat: England or Spain in the future."
Although Abdennour recently signed a new contract that ties him to Monaco until June 2019, Jilani’s briefing indicates that a move could be on the cards.
The agent also appears to have very clear instructions from the player about precisely where he sees his future.
