Liverpool and Burnley will await the verdict of a tribunal to decide the fee for Danny Ings after the two clubs failed to reach an agreement.
After initial interest from the Reds the clubs were unable to agree a deal with a £5million bid was turned down by the Clarets and Liverpool refused to loan a player to Turf Moor, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.
With Burnley apparently holding out for a fee in the region of £8million, the tribunal panel will decide how much Liverpool will be required to pay because Ings is under the age of 24.
However, the east Lancashire club will be hoping that with Tottenham's reportedly prepared to pay £12million for the England Under-21 international boost how much they receive.
