Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho only managed an average player rating of 7.1 from the media on Monday night with Petr Cech Arsenal's star of the show with 8.3.
As far as goalless draws go Monday night's clash at The Emirates was a cracker as Arsenal and Liverpool mustered 34 shots between them in an enthralling encounter.
Liverpool, through Coutinho, clattered the woodwork twice and Aaron Ramsey saw a perfectly good goal chalked off after he was adjudged to be offside after slotting home Santi Cazorla's first-half pass.
The home side were poor in the first half and 16 of their 19 shots came in the second half, while 11 of Liverpool's 15 came in the opening 45 minutes in which they should have taken a half-time lead.
Cech came to the rescue for Arsenal on several occasions tipping Coutinho's curling shot on to the post and also denying Benteke from point-blank range and it's no surprise to see him gain an average rating of 8.3 from marks awarded by The Sun, The Daily Mail, The Independent and EPSN FC.
ESPN FC handed the former Chelsea stopper a match-high 9, while young full-back Joe Gomez lead the plaudits for the visitors with an average score of 7.5 after settling into life at Anfield very quickly.
What was most surprising was Coutinho's average mark of just 7.1 after, almost single-handedly, running the show for Brendan Rodgers' men. His efforts were recognised by Martin Keown in the Daily Mail with an 8.5 rating, but The Sun (powered by Opta) - gave the mercurial Brazilian a 6 - the same mark as the abysmal Calum Chambers, who was rightfully handed a 4 by ESPN FC.
Here are the average marks for the 22 starters at The Emirates on Monday night..
Arsenal: Cech 8.3, Bellerin 6.4, Chambers 5.3, Gabriel 6.1, Monreal 6.5, Coquelin 6.5, Cazorla 6.5, Sanchez 6.6, Ramsey 7.1, Ozil 5.8, Giroud 5.6.
Liverpool: Mignolet 7, Clyne 6.8, Skrtel 7.2, Lovren 6.8, Gomez 7.5, Milner 7, Lucas 6.2, Can 6.9, Coutinho 7.1, Firmino 6.2, Benteke 7.
