Brendan Rodgers believes Everton’s Kevin Mirallas deserved a red card today following a high foot on Luis Suarez during Liverpool’s thrilling 3-3 draw at Goodison Park.
Mirallas was booked for the high foot on Suarez, which left visible cuts near the Uruguayan’s knee from Miallas’ studs.
The 26-year-old Belgian had further incidents later in the game, with referee Phil Dowd waving away any claims for a second yellow.
When asked about the incident by BT Sport’s Ray Stubbs, Rodgers said, “I thought Mirallas should have been sent off.
“It would have been interesting if it had been the other way round that had been Suarez making the foul.”
