Carlos Tevez: Has one year remaining on his deal at Italian champions Juventus

Carlos Tevez: Has one year remaining on his deal at Italian champions Juventus

Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has been offered the chance to return to England by an unknown Premier League club, according to Sky sources.

But Sky Sports understand that club is not Liverpool, despite press reports suggesting Brendan Rodgers could tie up a deal for the former Manchester City and Manchester United star this week.

Tevez, who has a year remaining on his contract at the Serie A champions and Champions League finalists, has also received three offers from abroad – one of which is thought to be Atletico Madrid.

The La Liga side are keen to sign the 31-year-old, who has long been tipped to finish his career in his home country with former club Boca Juniors, with head coach Diego Simeone speaking of his desire to bring Tevez to Madrid last month.

"One always gets excited if you have players like Tevez," Simeone told Spanish sports newspaper AS when asked about  the Argentina international.

"More than the goals he can score per season, he has football running through his veins. It would be an ideal reinforcement considering the way we experience football at Atletico Madrid."

Tevez joined Juventus from Man City in 2013 for £12m and has scored 39 league goals for the club en route to claiming two Italian titles and an Italian cup.

Tevez was the subject of an infamous initial move to England when he joined West Ham in 2006 amid disputes over third-party ownership of his playing rights.

He moved to Manchester United a year later after this was resolved before another controversial move to their arch rivals City in 2009, after scoring 34 goals under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Tevez scored 73 goals for City and won the Premier League with them in 2012 his third English title.

Raheem Sterling: Wanted by Chelsea - but not for £50m

Raheem Sterling: Wanted by Chelsea - but not for £50m

Chelsea reportedly remain interested in signing Raheem Sterling from Liverpool but are not prepared to meet the Reds' £50m valuation.

The Premier League champions will continue to monitor the situation though, with the England winger refusing to sign a contract extension at Anfield.

That has alerted a number of clubs to Sterling’s possible availability over the summer, with Manchester City already understood to have had a £25m-plus bid rejected.

Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked with the 20-year-old, who has two years left to run on his current deal, although it is understood no further bids have come in for Sterling from any other clubs.

Sterling has scored 23 goals in 129 appearances for the Reds after joining from QPR for £600,000 in May 2010.

But he was booed by some sections of the England supporters at the recent friendly with Republic of Ireland in Dublin as questions remain over his future on Merseyside.

Belgian forward Divock Origi played for Genk as a teenager

Belgian forward Divock Origi played for Genk as a teenager

Lille have been ordered to pay Genk £215,000 for the 2010 transfer of Divock Origi.

The Belgium forward, now with Liverpool, began his footballing education in his homeland with Genk, leaving them at the age of 15 before signing youth terms with Ligue 1 side Lille.

Genk appealed to FIFA's dispute resolution chamber seeking a training compensation fee but were denied as they had not offered a contract to Origi before his departure.

FIFA's transfer regulations state that: "If the former club does not offer the player a contract, no training compensation is payable unless the former club can justify that it is entitled to such compensation.

"The former club must offer the player a contract in writing via registered post at least 60 days before the expiry of his current contract."

Genk, though, successfully argued to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) that they could not offer Origi a contract under Belgian law because he was under the age of 16 at the time.

A CAS statement read: "The arbitration body has calculated the amount of the training compensation due and has ordered the payment of £215,000 from LOSC Lille Metropole to KRC Genk."

Roberto Firmino: Linked with Liverpool and Manchester United

Reported Liverpool and Manchester United target Roberto Firmino will move to the Premier League this summer, according to his agent.

It was reported last week that United had agreed a £13.1million fee with Hoffenheim to sign Firmino, who has also been linked with Liverpool, but the midfielder's agent refused to confirm the speculation.

He did, however, claim the 23-year-old is Premier League bound.

"All I can say is that he will go to England," Roger Wittmann is quoted as saying by Bild.

Firmino has scored 49 goals in 153 games in the Bundesliga for Hoffenheim and is currently with the Brazil national side for the Copa America.

Jackson Martinez: Decision yet to be made

Jackson Martinez: Decision yet to be made

FC Porto forward Jackson Martinez will make a decision regarding his future in the coming days, the player has revealed.

The Colombia international, who is currently on international duty at the Copa America, has been linked with a move away from the Estadio do Dragao this summer, with Premier League clubs Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly keen to acquire the highly-rated striker.

AC Milan confirmed their interest in the 28-year-old last week and reports in the Italian press claim Martinez is on the verge of completing a switch to the San Siro.

But Martinez has moved to dispel such suggestions, insisting he has not made his mind up yet.

"I'm as close to Milan as I am to other clubs," he told Portuguese newspaper A Bola.

"I will decide my future in the next few days."

Martinez, who scored 21 goals in 29 league appearances last season, joined Porto from Mexican side Chiapas in 2012 and is under contract with the Portuguese runners-up for another two seasons.

His agent, Luis Henrique Pompeo, reiterated his client’s thoughts, claiming Martinez’s future was yet to be decided.

“There is nothing decided yet,” he told Record.

“The only person who will speak in this period is me. Jackson is not on the sofa having a holiday.

“He is concentrated on Colombia. This is his absolute priority at the moment.”

Nathaniel Clyne: Top target for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers

Nathaniel Clyne: Top target for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers

Liverpool to make a new Nathaniel Clyne bid, Everton to try for Lukas Podolski and Newcastle to sign Bas Dost are among Monday's paper rumours.

LIVERPOOL TO MAKE NEW CLYNE BID

Liverpool will make a second offer for Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne, according to the Daily Mirror.

The right-back may only have got five minutes as a substitute for England on Sunday, but Brendan Rodgers is said to see him as the long-term answer for the Reds following the departure of Glen Johnson.

It was suggested earlier this month that some members of the transfer committee felt Burnley's Kieran Trippier would be a better value signing, but it appears Rodgers has got his way and been given the go-ahead to make another move for his preferred choice.

EVERTON KEEN ON PODOLSKI

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is keen on Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski, according to the Daily Star.

The German striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter Milan, who will not be signing him permanently, and has been told by Arsene Wenger he is not in his plans at Emirates Stadium.

Martinez, however, would apparently like to offer the 30-year-old the chance to remain in the Premier League - providing the deal is financially viable for the Toffees.

NEWCASTLE MOVE FOR DOST

Newcastle are closing in on the £9million signing of Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost, claims the Daily Mirror.

The Magpies have been linked with several strikers since the appointment of Steve McClaren, who is said to want to sign two this summer, but it is Dost who is apparently closest to a move to St James' Park.

The 26-year-old scored 16 goals in the Bundesliga last season, including a run of 11 in six games, and won his first two Netherlands caps in March before scoring again in Wolfsburg's German Cup final win over Borussia Dortmund, his 20th of the season in all competitions.

Newcastle also continue to be linked with QPR striker Charlie Austin but will face competition from Southampton and West Ham, according to the London Evening Standard.

- Radamel Falcao has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, leaving the champions just needing to agree a financial package with Monaco for the 29-year-old Colombian striker (Daily Mirror)

- Roma are ready to ignite their interest in Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, while City are keen on Fulham's highly-rated striker Patrick Roberts (Daily Mirror)

Mateo Kovacic: Liverpool target happy at Inter

Liverpool transfer target Mateo Kovacic has insisted he is 'still happy' at Inter Milan, but admits 'you never know' with rumours abound concerning his future.

Brendan Rodgers' side are reportedly interested in a move for the highly-rated 21-year-old, and it is believed that the Reds are willing to part with around £15million for the central midfielder.

But Kovacic has moved to allay rumours surrounding his future, insisting he is still happy at the San Siro with four years remaining on his contract.

"For now I'm still happy in Italy, but we'll see about the future," Kovacic told Tuttosport.

"Now I'm thinking about my holidays. I only know that I'm due back on July 5.

"That's why I haven't heard anything from the club yet.

"There's no need for us to talk, I recently renewed my contract.

"I'm not expecting any further notifications, but of course you never know with the transfer market."

Inter boss Roberto Mancini also remains confident the club can keep hold on the Croatian international.

The former Manchester City manager told Sky Italia earlier last week: "I think he'll stay. I don't think we'll sell our top players, I don't think that's a risk."

After securing deals for James Milner, Danny Ings and Adam Bogdan on Bosman deals already this summer, Liverpool have also been linked with the likes of Nathaniel Clyne and Luciano Vietto.
