Hull v Man Utd, Chelsea v Sunderland and Newcastle v West Ham: all live on Sky Sports

Hull v Man Utd, Chelsea v Sunderland and Newcastle v West Ham: all live on Sky Sports

Sky Sports will be the home of the Premier League on the final day, with all the build-up and three games exclusively live from both ends of the table as a dramatic season comes to a close.

The three teams who are still in danger of relegation will all be in action, while Sky Sports viewers can also watch Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea play their final match before being awarded the Barclays Premier League trophy at Stamford Bridge.

Sunderland will be the visitors to west London, potentially hoping to preserve their Premier League status, while Newcastle United take on West Ham United with the same aim. Hull City host Manchester United and must win and hope for other results to go their way to remain in the top flight.

Sky's live fixtures this Sunday are:

- Hull City v Manchester United, live on Sky Sports 1 from 2pm
- Chelsea v Sunderland, live on Sky 1 from 2pm
- Newcastle United v West Ham, live on Sky Sports 3 from 2.55pm

While viewers have the choice between three matches kicking off at the same time, they will also be delivered live updates and goal replays from the other matches to ensure they are fully up to speed with the relegation picture as it happens.

Gillette Soccer Special will also offer six hours of coverage of the final day, with Jeff Stelling presenting the final edition of the season across Sky Sports News HQ from 12noon on Sunday.

On skysports.com and Sky Sports' mobile apps, fans can follow the action from the final day via an interactive live blog. Fans can also choose individual matches and recieve minute-by-minute clockwatch updates.

The final three Premier League matches complete a 23rd season on Sky Sports, with 49 of the 50 most watched matches all live on Sky Sports once again this term. All 20 teams are featured in the 49 matches screened, underlining the importance to viewers of Sky Sports’ coverage of clubs at both ends of the table.

Sky Sports will also show all three Sky Bet Football League play-off finals this weekend, starting with Southend United v Wycombe Wanderers live from Wembley on Saturday.

Preston North End then face Swindon in the League One play-off on Sunday, before the Championship play-off sees Middlesbrough and Norwich City fighting for a place in the Premier League on Monday.

As the football season draws to a close, Sky Sports stands on the brink of another huge summer of sport for Sky Sports viewers with a schedule that includes The Ashes, Major golf, every Formula One Grand Prix weekend, England’s IRB World Cup warm-up matches and the return of another huge season of live football.

Sky Sports will offer at least four more seasons of the Premier League, including three times as many live matches as any other broadcaster, the most-watched slots in the schedule and the best match picks from the 2016/17 season.

In February, Sky Sports secured exclusive rights to the Premier League from 2016-17 to 2018-19, winning five of the packages available and increasing the number of games to 126 per season. This ensured that Sky Sports will continue to be the home of the Barclays Premier League for at least another four years.

Next season, Sky Sports viewers can also enjoy even more live Football League coverage, with 148 live games from the Sky Bet Football League, Capital One Cup and Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Jordan Henderson: Wants his team-mates to step up

Jordan Henderson: Wants his team-mates to step up

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson wants his team-mates to step up and take more responsibility in the wake of Steven Gerrard's departure.

Henderson has captained Liverpool in Gerrard's absence this season and is favourite to take on the role full-time when the 34-year-old leaves the club after next weekend’s game at at Stoke.

And Henderson has called on his team-mates to raise their game and fill the void that Gerrard leaves when he embarks upon a new challenge in Major League Soccer with Los Angeles Galaxy.

"I think it will be a huge loss for us not only as a player but a person with his aura around the place," Henderson said.

"But it is up to us as a team to step up to the plate and take responsibility, and not one individual.

"There will never be another player or person like him in terms of everything he stood for and how good he was as a player.

"But I still feel we have a lot of great players here with a lot of potential and we need to start showing that potential next season.

"We have hungry players who want to improve and do well and we have to make sure we are doing that next week and pre-season."

Graeme Souness told the Ed Chamberlin Audio Blog that the Premier League would "sorely miss" Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.

Gerrard and Lampard will end more than 30 combined years of top-flight English football when they head to MLS sides LA Galaxy and New York City respectively in the summer.

And Souness, who made more than 350 appearances in the heart of Liverpool’s midfield during the '70s and '80s, believes England's top flight is losing two "greats".

“It’s going to be different in in the Premier League without these two,” Souness, speaking behind the scenes on Super Sunday, said.

“The league would have been a lot poorer without Gerrard and Lampard. They have been fantastic - both of them, in their own separate ways.

“They will be sorely missed by the neutrals, their own supporters and the guys they shared the dressing room with.”

Souness reckons the duo are among the greatest players of the Premier League era and admitted he would have loved to have pitted his wits against them.

“I would have loved to have played against them because I would have wanted to test myself against the very best,” he added.

“Newspapers write things and people on TV talk about the best players. If you’ve got anything about you, you'd want to compete against these two and see if you’re a match for them.

“These two are among the Premier League greats, they could have gone anywhere in the world and got in any team. They will be sorely missed.”

Brad Friedel told Goals on Sunday that he is looking forward to retirement after hanging up his gloves following a career spanning three decades.

The former Blackburn, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Spurs goalkeeper says he will leave England with fond memories, but is also excited about what the future holds for him and his family.

Friedel joined Tottenham in 2011, but has been back-up to Hugo Lloris since the Frenchman's arrival the following year.

Friedel, who holds the record streak of 310 consecutive Premier League starts, has 12 months remaining on his pro license.

He is also set to become an analyst, pundit and co-commentator for Fox Sports as well as coaching the Under 20 national team and has agreed to become a global ambassador for Tottenham.

"It's got to end sometime," Friedel told Ben and Kammy. "When I got the opportunity to come to Tottenham and the players they had in the squad - I was 40 years of age - and my wife and I were thinking should I call it a day then and more than likely move back to the states.

"But I said getting the opportunity to play again at such a great club like Tottenham, I had to give it a go, so we came down.

"I really did think it was going to be a one stroke, two season event. They were looking for a long-term number one goalkeeper and a 40-year-old isn't going to be your long-term guy.

"They found one in Hugo Lloris, but as it transpired I started doing my coaching.

"To be truthfully honest I could probably carry on again because my body doesn't feel any different.

"I'm 44-years-old tomorrow (Monday) and you can't complain about a career like that. I've had a fond affection with all the fans.

"Blackburn was probably the longest - it was an incredible club.

"I'll be finishing my pro license. I have about 12 months to run on that so I'll be back and forth and obviously with the tie with Tottenham I'll try and come back as much as possible.

"I'll also love to go back to Liverpool, Villa and Blackburn at some stage as the years go by because I really did have a great time at each of those clubs."
